Competent on environmental litigation, but communication could improve

I engaged Steven T. Senior of Riker Danzig to represent my small manufacturing company in a complex dispute with a state agency over alleged groundwater contamination. His deep expertise in environmental law, underscored by his multiple 'Lawyer of the Year' recognitions in Newark, was immediately apparent. With over three decades of experience, he understood the regulatory landscape thoroughly and his strategic advice during the litigation was sound. Ultimately, we reached a favorable settlement. However, my experience was a mixed bag. While his legal acumen is undeniable, I often found communication to be less than ideal. Responses to emails could be delayed, and updates were sometimes sparse unless I initiated contact. For the premium rate, I expected more proactive engagement. He is a highly capable attorney who gets results, but managing client expectations and maintaining consistent dialogue are areas where the service felt merely adequate.
