Competent on employment law, but communication could improve

I hired Michael J. Westwood-Booth from Ogletree Deakins to handle a wrongful termination case for my small business in the Morristown area. His recognition by Best Lawyers in Labor and Employment Law was a key factor in my decision. Michael demonstrated a solid grasp of the legal issues during our consultations and his analysis of the employee handbook and our internal policies was thorough. The matter was resolved with a satisfactory settlement, which was the primary goal. However, the experience was not seamless. There were several instances where responses to my emails took longer than I expected, sometimes three to four business days, which left me feeling a bit in the dark during a stressful period. While his legal competence is evident, especially for an attorney with his level of experience, the client service aspect felt just adequate. I would describe him as a capable attorney who gets results, but one who could enhance the client experience with more proactive communication.
