Skilled but could improve communication

Alan L. Zegas handled my appellate case with a level of expertise that was reassuring, particularly given his 44 years in criminal and commercial litigation. His recognition in white-collar defense was evident in his strategy, though I felt the communication could have been more frequent. The wait times for responses were sometimes longer than expected, which added unnecessary stress to an already complex situation. While his knowledge of New York and New Jersey courts was invaluable, I wish there had been clearer expectations set regarding timelines and updates. Overall, competent but room for improvement in client engagement.
