Competent handling of a complex business restructuring

Mr. Freeman assisted our small manufacturing company with a Chapter 11 reorganization. His knowledge of bankruptcy and creditor rights, for which he is recognized, was evident in the strategic filings and negotiations. The legal outcome was solid, and he clearly has deep experience from his years at Katten. However, our experience was mixed. Communication was sometimes delayed, with responses taking several days during critical phases, which added to our stress. While we achieved the necessary restructuring, the process felt more transactional than collaborative. He is a capable attorney who delivered on the core legal work, but the client service aspect could be more responsive.
