Competent on pension law, but communication was inconsistent

Susan Philpott handled a complex pension plan merger for our union local. Her deep knowledge of employee benefits law, built over 17 years, was evident, and her reputation in this niche is well-deserved. The legal strategy was sound. However, our experience was mixed. Response times were sometimes slow, and we occasionally felt out of the loop on file progress. While the outcome was ultimately satisfactory, the process required more follow-up from our side than we anticipated. She is clearly an expert, but the client service aspect could be more consistent to match her substantive skill.
