I engaged Susan Pitchford at Chernoff Vilhauer to handle a trademark dispute for my small business. Her expertise in trademark law is evident, and her recognition as a Lawyer of the Year in that field was a primary reason for my choice. She provided a solid legal strategy and her analysis of the opposition was thorough. However, my experience was mixed. While the legal work itself was competent, I sometimes found communication to be less proactive than I expected. There were periods where I had to follow up for updates, and responses to emails could be delayed, which added to my stress as a client. The billing was clear, but at times I questioned whether certain tasks required the level of senior attention billed.
