Scott Alderton handled the acquisition of a small tech startup for my company. His deep experience in corporate law and M&A, evidenced by his long tenure and recognition in the field, was clear. The legal structuring was sound, and he navigated the core complexities effectively. However, the process felt somewhat transactional. Communication was occasionally slow, with responses sometimes taking a couple of days, and I often had to follow up for updates. While the work product was solid and he is undoubtedly knowledgeable, the overall client experience felt more adequate than exceptional. For a complex, high-stakes deal, his firm would be a strong choice, but for our mid-market transaction, the service level matched the three-star rating.
