Competent in complex litigation, but communication was inconsistent

Mr. Petty represented our mid-sized manufacturing company in a product liability dispute. His background in mass tort and commercial litigation from Nixon Peabody was evident; he was clearly knowledgeable and his recognized expertise in defending these cases provided confidence. The legal strategy he developed was sound. However, for a 3-star experience, we often experienced significant delays in receiving responses to our emails, and updates felt reactive rather than proactive. While the outcome was ultimately acceptable, managing our internal expectations around timelines and communication would have improved the process. He is a capable attorney, but the client service aspect felt just adequate.
