We engaged Mr. Brandel at Morrison Foerster for guidance on a complex regulatory compliance issue related to a new financial product. His deep expertise in banking and finance law was immediately apparent. His background, including his recognition as Lawyer of the Year in this field, gave us confidence. He provided a technically sound analysis of the regulatory landscape. However, our experience was mixed on the service side. While his ultimate advice was reliable, communication through his team was sometimes slower than we hoped, with occasional delays in receiving draft documents. For a straightforward matter requiring his specific, veteran knowledge, he is a competent choice. For clients needing highly responsive, day-to-day partnership, expectations should be managed. You are paying for his decades of experience, which he delivers, but the ancillary support felt just adequate.
