Peter Franklin works with state agencies, local governments and special infrastructure financing districts, companies and developers in a wide variety of New Mexico public finance transactions, including general obligation and revenue bond transactions, formation of public improvement districts and tax increment districts, bond transactions and ongoing projects and operations, economic development and redevelopment projects, industrial revenue bond projects and 501(c)(3) transactions. Peter also assists local governments and other public agencies in post-closing federal tax and securities law compliance. A trusted advisor for complex public finance matters

Peter Franklin provided exceptional guidance to our special district on a complex bond issuance for water infrastructure. His 40 years of experience in New Mexico public finance was immediately evident; he navigated state agency requirements and intricate legal structures with a calm, assured hand. It’s clear why he’s consistently recognized by Chambers and Best Lawyers. He made the complex understandable for our board. The only slight drawback was that during the final, intense week of closing, response times could occasionally stretch a bit longer than ideal, given the multiple parties involved.
