Michael D. Haight

Michael D. Haight is the Co-Founder and Co-Owner of Henness & Haight Injury Attorneys. Mr. Haight was born in Tupper Lake, New York, but has been a Las Vegas resident since 1976. He graduated from Valley High School in Las Vegas in 1984 and then attended Dixie College in St. George, Utah, on an athletic scholarship. Later, he transferred to University of Nevada, Reno, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1989.Mr. Haight received his Juris Doctorate from Willamette University College of Law in 1995. Immediately after law school, he immersed himself in trial work. As a defense attorney, he originally defended drivers who caused accidents, and he thus gained valuable experience and insight into how insurance companies work. In 1998, however, he made the decision to dedicate his career to representing injured victims. Since then, Mr. Haight has exclusively represented “the little guy,” and he now handles only personal injury & car accident claims. He is a member of the Clark County and Nevada Bar Associations. Mr. Haight is admitted to practice in all Nevada courts, in the 9th Federal District Court, and before the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Haight has been awarded an AV rating by Martindale-Hubbell, which is the highest possible rating in both legal ability and ethical standards. He has also been honored as a “Top 100 Litigation Lawyer” by the American Society of Legal Advocates, and a “Top 100 Trial Lawyer” by the National Trial Lawyers organization. He is a member of the prestigious “Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum,” which is comprised solely of top trial lawyers who have won multi-million dollar verdicts. In 2008, he was also named as one of “Nevada’s top attorneys” by the Nevada Business Journal. Mr. Haight is a Pillar of Justice and Governor for the Nevada Justice Association, to which he has been a member since 1996. He is also a long-standing member of the American Justice Association. Outside of the office, Mr. Haight and his family are big fans and boosters of the UNLV Runnin’ Rebels. He also enjoys all outdoor activities, coaching his children’s athletic teams, traveling and spending time with his family, and he is active in several of the Las Vegas valley’s charitable organizations.
