Matthew Reyes
I engaged Matthew Wrysinski at Alston & Bird to assist with a commercial loan restructuring for my small business. His background representing both lenders and borrowers was evident; he understood the bank's perspective, which helped move the negotiations forward. His recognition in Banking and Finance Law is well-deserved from a technical standpoint. However, the experience was mixed. While his analysis of the loan covenants was thorough, there were several instances where responses to my emails took longer than expected, leaving me to follow up. For a straightforward transaction, his expertise is solid, but the client service aspect felt more transactional than collaborative. He successfully closed the deal, but I expected a bit more proactive guidance given the firm's reputation. He's a capable attorney, but managing client expectations on communication would elevate the service.
