Competent M&A guidance, but communication could improve

Lynda Levenson at Ropes & Gray provided solid legal advice during our company's recent acquisition of a smaller tech firm in Los Angeles. Her background in Mergers and Acquisitions Law, and the recognition she's received in that field, was evident in her handling of the due diligence process. The work product was thorough. However, our experience was mixed. While her expertise was not in question, response times were sometimes slower than expected, and we occasionally felt we had to follow up for updates that weren't proactively communicated. For a straightforward transaction where you need capable hands, she is a competent choice, but be prepared to manage the communication flow actively.
