I hired John Yslas at Wilshire Law Firm to handle a wrongful termination case for me in San Jose. His background in labor and employment litigation from UCLA is evident, and his recognition by Best Lawyers is well-deserved based on his legal strategy. He clearly knows this area of law inside and out. However, my experience was a mixed bag. While the legal outcome was ultimately satisfactory, there were significant delays in communication. Responses to emails often took several days, and it was sometimes difficult to get a clear timeline for next steps. For straightforward legal matters, his expertise is solid, but be prepared to manage your expectations regarding client service and proactive updates. He’s a skilled attorney, but the overall experience felt more transactional than collaborative.
