Adequate representation for a complex IP dispute

Jeff Scott at Greenberg Traurig represented our San Diego-based software company in a significant intellectual property litigation matter. His deep knowledge of the field, backed by his 15 years of experience and recognition in IP litigation, was evident in his strategic approach to our case. He clearly understood the technical nuances and the commercial stakes involved. However, while the legal work was competent, our experience was mixed. Communication was sometimes slower than we would have liked, with responses to non-urgent inquiries taking several days. At times, we felt we had to proactively seek updates rather than receiving them as a matter of course. The billing structure was clear, but the overall cost felt substantial for the outcome achieved, which was a satisfactory settlement. For straightforward legal matters, his expertise is solid, but for clients who prioritize constant, proactive communication, expectations should be managed from the outset.
