I hired James Morock at Galloway Johnson to handle a significant construction defect claim involving water intrusion in a commercial property I own in Metairie. His background in construction litigation from Loyola was evident; he understood the technical aspects of the case and his firm's reputation in this area is well-known. The initial strategy was sound, and we achieved a settlement that was, financially, acceptable. However, the experience felt somewhat transactional. While Drew was clearly knowledgeable, especially given his recognition in construction law, communication was inconsistent. There were periods where I had to follow up multiple times for updates, and explanations of certain legal maneuvers were sometimes rushed. For straightforward legal matters, his expertise in insurance and construction is solid, but I expected a more proactive and communicative partnership given the complexity and stakes involved.
