Indispensable Counsel for Complex Environmental Compliance

Our manufacturing company faced a daunting, multi-agency environmental compliance challenge involving both state permits and federal wetland regulations. The situation was paralyzing our expansion plans. We engaged Tommy Gildersleeve on a colleague's strong recommendation, and it was the best decision we could have made. Tommy’s broad-based environmental and administrative law practice was exactly what we needed. He didn't just address the legal silos separately; he synthesized the entire regulatory landscape. His deep understanding of how Louisiana's DEQ procedures intersect with federal EPA frameworks allowed him to craft a cohesive, strategic response. He guided us through negotiations with a professionalism that commanded respect from all parties, turning a potential adversarial standoff into a collaborative path forward. The result was a negotiated settlement that not only resolved the immediate violations but also established a clear, permitted path for our future development. Tommy is more than an attorney; he's a strategic partner who understands that legal issues are intertwined with business realities. His expertise at Taylor Porter is genuine, and his counsel was invaluable.
