Stephen Thompson
Our company engaged H. Michael Clyde of Perkins Coie to defend against a significant shareholder derivative suit that involved intricate questions of corporate governance and alleged securities violations. With his nearly five decades of experience, Mr. Clyde immediately demonstrated a masterful command of the legal and factual landscape. His deep background in securities and corporate governance litigation, honed over 30+ years, was evident in every strategic discussion. He possesses a rare ability to distill complex antitrust and securities principles into clear, actionable advice for business leaders. It’s no surprise to see his multiple 'Lawyer of the Year' recognitions; his courtroom presence and negotiation skills are formidable. Our matter was resolved favorably, largely due to his guidance. The only minor critique would be that, given his seniority and caseload, direct communication sometimes required patience, as responses could take a day or two. That said, the quality of the work from him and his team was consistently exceptional. For high-stakes litigation in Phoenix, he is an outstanding choice.
