Adequate representation for a complex business restructuring

Mr. Mersel's deep expertise in bankruptcy and creditor rights, honed over nearly four decades, was evident throughout our Chapter 11 proceedings. His recognition by Best Lawyers in insolvency law is well-deserved, and his strategic advice from the Kilpatrick Townsend firm was sound. However, the experience was mixed. While his legal acumen is solid, communication was sometimes delayed, with responses taking longer than expected. For a matter as time-sensitive as ours, this created occasional anxiety. His team handled the heavy litigation aspects competently, but managing client expectations on process timelines could be improved. He is undoubtedly knowledgeable, but the service delivery felt more transactional than collaborative for such a critical business event.
