Competent on the case, but communication could improve

I hired Gevik Yenoki at Shegerian & Associates for a wrongful termination matter. His recognition in Litigation - Labor and Employment by Best Lawyers was a key factor in my decision, and his knowledge of the relevant statutes was evident. He successfully negotiated a settlement that covered my lost wages. However, the experience was mixed. While his legal analysis was sharp, communication was inconsistent. There were often significant delays in receiving email replies, and updates on the negotiation process felt sporadic, leaving me to follow up frequently. For a straightforward case like mine, his competence from Loyola Law School was sufficient, but managing client expectations and responsiveness seemed like an area still developing. He handled the core legal work adequately, but the overall client service aspect felt just satisfactory.
