Competent on complex antitrust matter, but communication could improve

I engaged Christopher Dusseault and his team at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher for a complex commercial dispute with significant antitrust implications. His recognition in both Antitrust Law and Commercial Litigation by Best Lawyers was a primary factor in our selection, and his technical competence in these areas was evident. The legal strategy developed for our case, which involved allegations of anti-competitive practices from a former business partner, was sound and analytically rigorous. However, my experience was mixed. While the substantive work was of high quality, I found the communication from his office to be less consistent than expected. There were periods where responses to non-urgent inquiries took longer than I would have preferred, and updates sometimes felt more procedural than collaborative. For a firm and attorney of this caliber in Los Angeles, I anticipated a slightly more responsive client service experience. He is undoubtedly a skilled attorney who knows the law, and the outcome of our matter was ultimately favorable. My three-star rating reflects that the legal expertise was there, but the overall client management and communication fell short of the premium level one might expect.
