Knowledgeable but communication could be more consistent

I engaged Carolyn Sieve at Constangy Brooks for a complex wrongful termination case. With her 31 years of experience and recognition in labor and employment litigation, I was confident in her legal strategy. Her analysis of my former employer's policies was thorough, and she leveraged her deep knowledge of California employment law effectively. The outcome of my case was ultimately fair. However, the experience was mixed on the client service front. While Carolyn is clearly an expert, there were periods where communication lagged, making it difficult to get timely updates on procedural matters. Responses to emails sometimes took several days, which added to my stress. For straightforward legal advice, her expertise from Temple University is evident, but managing client expectations around availability could be improved. She is competent and achieved the primary goal, but the process felt more transactional than collaborative at times.
