I hired Amanda Murray at McDermott Will & Schulte for a wrongful termination case. Her knowledge of California labor law was evident, and I appreciated her direct, no-nonsense approach during our initial consultation. Her recognition in Litigation - Labor and Employment is well-deserved based on the legal strategy she outlined. The case involved complex issues around constructive dismissal and retaliation, and she handled the procedural filings competently. However, the experience was mixed. While the legal work was solid, there were often significant delays in receiving email responses, sometimes stretching to several business days, which added to my stress. Updates on case developments felt reactive rather than proactive. For straightforward legal matters, her four years of experience, particularly her focus on employment litigation, provides a good foundation. The outcome of my case was acceptable, but the process felt more transactional than collaborative. She is a capable attorney, but managing client expectations and communication timelines appears to be an area for growth.
