Competent but communication could be stronger

Allison Near handled my personal injury case after a car accident in New Haven. With 21 years of experience and her recognition in personal injury litigation, I expected strong representation, and she delivered on the legal front. The case settled for a reasonable amount, though not as high as I initially hoped. Where I felt somewhat disappointed was in the communication department – there were several instances where I had to follow up multiple times for case updates, and responses sometimes took longer than expected. The firm clearly has expertise, especially given Allison's recognition by Best Lawyers, but I wish there had been more proactive communication throughout the process. The legal strategy was sound and her knowledge of Connecticut personal injury law was evident. Overall, competent representation but the client experience could have been more polished.
