Our family-owned manufacturing business in Portland was facing an insurmountable debt burden after a key client's bankruptcy. The pressure was immense, and we were unsure if we could salvage decades of work. From our first consultation, William Burnett provided not just legal expertise, but a clear strategic path forward. His deep specialization in reorganizations and workouts was immediately evident. He didn't just see our case as a bankruptcy filing; he crafted a detailed Chapter 11 plan focused on operational restructuring, which was crucial for our survival. His background as chair of his firm's Bankruptcy Department meant he had the experience to anticipate creditor committee challenges and negotiate favorable terms we didn't think were possible. William was consistently accessible, explaining complex legal concepts in practical business terms we could understand. His calm, professional demeanor was a steadying force throughout the entire 14-month process. Thanks to his diligent work, we successfully confirmed a plan, preserved over thirty jobs, and our business is now on stable footing. We cannot recommend William J. Burnett highly enough for anyone navigating serious financial distress.
