Competent estate planning, but communication could improve

Bill Butler at McDermott Will & Schulte handled the update of our family trust competently. His background in trusts and estates was evident, and he clearly knows the Illinois statutes. However, the process felt a bit impersonal. There were delays in getting draft documents back, and follow-up emails sometimes took several days for a response. While the final product was solid and he is obviously recognized in his field, the overall client experience was just satisfactory. For straightforward estate matters, he gets the job done, but don't expect frequent check-ins.
