Competent but communication could be more consistent

Mr. Gwathney handled a complex municipal bond issuance for our local development authority. His deep expertise in public finance law is evident, and his recognition as Lawyer of the Year is well-deserved. The legal work was thorough. However, response times were sometimes longer than expected, and we occasionally felt out of the loop on minor procedural updates. For high-stakes matters, his 24 years of experience at Balch & Bingham is a definite asset, though the client service aspect felt merely adequate.
