Competent real estate expertise, but communication could improve

Mr. Byrd represented our development group in a complex retail center acquisition in Birmingham. His deep knowledge of commercial real estate, honed over three decades, was evident, particularly in navigating the NMTC financing aspects. His Martindale-Hubbell AV rating and recognition in publications like PLC Which Lawyer? are well-deserved for his technical skill. However, our experience was mixed. While the legal work was solid, we often experienced significant delays in receiving responses to emails and calls, which created some anxiety during tight deadlines. His advice was always sound when we finally connected, but the process felt less collaborative than we had hoped. For straightforward, high-stakes transactions, his expertise from Bradley Arant is undeniable, but be prepared to manage communication expectations proactively.
