A consummate professional who guided us through a complex tax audit

Our family-owned manufacturing business faced a daunting multi-year state and local tax audit that threatened significant penalties. From our first consultation, Wayne Roberts demonstrated a masterful command of tax law and procedure. He leveraged his deep experience in tax controversies to develop a strategic, fact-based defense, meticulously preparing our position. His dual recognition as a 'Lawyer of the Year' in tax litigation was evident in his confident, yet pragmatic, approach. Wayne and his team at Bodman PLC were always accessible, explaining complex issues in clear terms without ever talking down to us. The result was a favorable settlement that saved our business substantial financial strain. His 24 years of focused practice in this niche area made all the difference. We cannot recommend him highly enough for any corporate or individual tax matter.
