Experienced franchise attorney, but communication could improve

We engaged Warren Lewis and his team at Akerman to assist with the restructuring of our multi-unit franchise agreement. His depth of knowledge in franchise law is immediately apparent, and his recognition by Who's Who Legal and Franchise Times is well-deserved. With over five decades of experience, he provided solid, strategic counsel on the complex territorial rights and trademark licensing aspects. However, the process felt somewhat impersonal. While the final work product was competent, we sometimes experienced delays in receiving responses to our emails and found that explanations could be more direct and less steeped in legal jargon. For straightforward matters, his expertise is undeniable, but be prepared to manage communication expectations proactively.
