My family and I sought Virginia Sheehan's counsel to help my aging mother navigate a complex situation involving her long-term care wishes and the future of the family home. From our first meeting, it was clear we were in the hands of a true expert. Her deep knowledge of New Hampshire's elder law statutes and her 37 years of experience in trusts and estates were immediately apparent. She patiently explained the nuances of Medicaid planning and irrevocable trusts, translating legal complexities into clear, actionable steps. We were particularly impressed by her thoughtful approach to balancing my mother's desire for independence with the practical realities of asset protection. Her affiliation with the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and her AV Preeminent rating gave us immense confidence in her judgment. While her fees are reflective of her high level of expertise and the value she provides, the billing process could be slightly more transparent with interim summaries. That said, the comprehensive estate plan she crafted, including a detailed power of attorney and healthcare directive, has given our entire family profound peace of mind. Her recognition as Lawyer of the Year in Elder Law is well-deserved. We highly recommend her for anyone facing similar sensitive family transitions.
