Vincent Lillegard at Barnes & Thornburg assisted with the refinancing of our small business's commercial loan. His background in Banking and Finance Law was evident, and his 12 years of experience provided solid footing for the transaction. The documents were thorough, and his knowledge of the regulatory landscape was reassuring. However, the process felt somewhat impersonal. There were periods of several days where we received no updates, requiring us to follow up. While his recognition by Best Lawyers is certainly merited based on his technical skill, our expectations for proactive communication and a more collaborative client relationship were not fully met. For a straightforward matter where expertise is the primary need, he is capable, but be prepared to manage the timeline and information flow yourself.
