Solid on construction disputes, but communication was inconsistent

I hired Victor Rawl to handle a significant payment dispute with a general contractor on a commercial build-out in San Antonio. His background in complex construction litigation was evident; he understood the technical aspects of the claim immediately and his strategy during settlement negotiations was sound, ultimately leading to an acceptable resolution. However, my experience was mixed. While Victor himself was knowledgeable, there were noticeable delays in receiving updates, and I often had to follow up multiple times through his paralegal. For straightforward legal matters, his firm is competent, but if you require frequent, proactive communication, you may need to set very clear expectations upfront. He’s a capable litigator, but the client service aspect felt just adequate.
