I hired Mr. Hughes to assist with a small business contract dispute that arose from a local supplier here in Baltimore. As a general practitioner, his broad knowledge was evident; he was able to navigate the contractual issues and advise me on potential liability. I appreciated that he is from Alabama, having grown up in Huntsville and attended UAH, as it gave him a grounded, practical understanding of how local businesses operate. He successfully negotiated a settlement that avoided court, which was my primary goal. However, the experience was just adequate. There were often significant delays in receiving responses to emails, and at times I felt I had to follow up multiple times to get updates on my case. While he was clearly competent in handling the legal matter itself, the overall client experience felt somewhat disjointed. For straightforward general practice matters, he gets the job done, but you need to be prepared to manage the communication flow proactively.
