I hired Mr. Moore and his firm, Kramer, Dillof, Livingston & Moore, to assist with a complex zoning variance for a mixed-use property in Brooklyn. With his 36 years of experience, particularly his deep background in New York City land use law since the 1980s, I had confidence in his technical knowledge. This was confirmed; his understanding of the City Council and planning board processes was evident, and he successfully navigated the procedural hurdles. However, the experience was a mixed bag. While the legal outcome was satisfactory, the client service aspect felt lacking. Responses to emails were often delayed by several business days, leaving me to manage my own anxieties about project timelines. At times, I felt like I had to piece together the strategy from fragments of information rather than receiving clear, proactive updates. For straightforward legal matters where expertise is paramount, Mr. Moore’s long-standing practice is a solid choice. Yet, if you value consistent communication and a more collaborative client-attorney relationship where expectations are clearly managed, you may find the experience merely adequate, as I did. His competence is not in question, but the overall service delivery didn't fully meet my hopes for a firm of this caliber.
