I engaged Teeanna Brisco at Perkins Coie for assistance with a trademark registration and potential infringement issue for my small tech startup. Her foundational knowledge in Intellectual Property Law was evident, and her background from Howard University and the recognition she's received in this field provided confidence. She correctly identified the core legal risks in our filing and drafted a solid cease-and-desist letter. However, the experience felt somewhat transactional. While her legal analysis was sound, there were noticeable delays in email responses, sometimes taking several business days for a simple update. This created some anxiety during time-sensitive phases of the process. Furthermore, explanations of certain procedural steps and fee structures were occasionally delivered in dense legalese, requiring me to ask for clarification multiple times. For straightforward IP matters, Teeanna is a capable attorney who will handle the legal work correctly. My three-star rating reflects competent legal expertise that met the baseline requirement, but the overall client experience and proactive communication fell short of the premium service level I anticipated from a firm of this stature. She is undoubtedly knowledgeable, but the partnership aspect felt lacking.
