Competent estate planning, but communication could be more consistent

I engaged Tanisha Tulloch at Torkin Manes to assist with updating my will and establishing a basic trust. Her knowledge in the Trusts and Estates area is evident, and it was reassuring to know she has been recognized by Best Lawyers for this work. She was thorough in explaining the documents and the probate process in Ontario. However, my experience was mixed. While the final product was professionally done, there were noticeable delays in receiving drafts, sometimes waiting over a week for a response to follow-up emails. For a straightforward estate plan, the process felt a bit slower than anticipated. Tanisha is clearly a capable attorney with a solid foundation in her two years of practice, and she handled the legal intricacies well. My expectations for proactive updates and quicker turnaround times, based on the firm's reputation, were not fully met. She is competent and gets the job done, but the client service aspect felt just adequate.
