Competent legal guidance for our commercial property purchase

We engaged Tamara Miano at Taft to assist with the acquisition of a small commercial building in Columbus. Her background in real estate and construction law, including her recognition by Best Lawyers, was evident in her thorough review of the purchase agreement and title work. She identified several potential issues with easements that we had overlooked. However, our experience was mixed. While her legal analysis was solid, communication was sometimes slower than we expected, with responses taking several business days during critical negotiation phases. This created some anxiety on our end. Her billing was clear, but the process felt more transactional than collaborative. For straightforward legal matters where immediate responsiveness isn't paramount, her expertise is certainly adequate. She is knowledgeable, but the overall client service experience could be more streamlined.
