Competent on the case, but communication could improve

I hired Talley Parham Casey of Wyche PA to handle a contract dispute for my small business. Her background in Commercial Litigation, including the recognition from Best Lawyers, was a primary reason for my choice. She demonstrated a solid grasp of the legal issues involved, and her analysis of our vendor agreement was thorough. The outcome of our settlement negotiation was ultimately favorable. However, the experience was not without its frustrations. While Talley is clearly knowledgeable, there were periods where communication was slower than I would have preferred, making it difficult to get timely updates on case developments. At times, I felt I had to follow up multiple times to get a clear answer on procedural next steps. For straightforward commercial matters, her expertise from the University of Virginia is evident, but managing client expectations and responsiveness seems to be an area for growth. She is a competent attorney who achieved the legal result, but the process required more proactive effort on my part than I anticipated.
