Competent corporate guidance, but communication could improve

I engaged Suzanne Woolley at Lawson Lundell to assist with the formation of a new LLC and the drafting of our initial operating agreement. Her background in corporate law was evident; she was meticulous with the documents and clearly understood the necessary legal structures. It was reassuring to know she has been recognized in this specific field. The work product itself was solid and met our basic needs for getting the business off the ground. However, the experience felt somewhat transactional. There were periods where communication lagged, with replies taking several business days, which created some anxiety during time-sensitive steps. While I never doubted her legal competence, I had hoped for a more proactive partnership in thinking through potential future scenarios for our startup. For straightforward corporate filings, she is a capable attorney, but managing client expectations and responsiveness could be enhanced.
