Competent and knowledgeable, but communication could improve
I hired Susan McNeil for a complex insurance dispute following a commercial property claim. Her litigation skills and deep knowledge of insurance law were evident, and her recognition in that field is well-deserved. She successfully navigated the claim process and achieved a reasonable settlement. However, the experience was somewhat mixed. While her legal strategy was sound, there were periods where communication was slower than I would have preferred, making it difficult to stay fully informed on case developments. My expectations for responsiveness were not fully met. For straightforward legal matters requiring her litigation expertise, she is a capable attorney, but be prepared to follow up proactively for updates.
