Experienced and knowledgeable, but communication could improve

I engaged Steven Nobil to advise our small manufacturing company during a union organizing campaign. With over five decades of experience, particularly in labor law management, his deep knowledge of the National Labor Relations Act was immediately apparent. He is clearly a recognized expert in his field, and his strategic advice during the election process was sound and ultimately effective. However, for the substantial fees involved, I expected more consistent communication. There were times when responses to urgent emails took longer than promised, and his explanations of complex legal strategies sometimes felt rushed, leaving our management team with follow-up questions. He is undoubtedly a capable attorney from a respected firm, but the client service experience felt more transactional than collaborative. For straightforward labor matters, his expertise is valuable, but be prepared to manage the communication flow proactively.
