Expert guidance through a complex construction dispute

I engaged Steve Slawinski and his team at O'Neil Cannon after a major subcontractor defaulted on a commercial build, leaving us with significant delays and cost overruns. Steve's deep knowledge of construction law was immediately apparent. He didn't just recite the contract; he understood the practical realities of the jobsite and the cascading impacts of the default. His recognition in the field, including the recent Lawyer of the Year award, is clearly well-earned. Steve developed a strategic approach that considered both litigation and negotiation, and his advice on navigating the specific contractual and insurance complexities stemming from COVID-19 supply chain issues was invaluable. We reached a favorable settlement without needing a full trial. The only slight critique would be that during the busiest phases, communication from his office could sometimes take a day to get a response, but when we did connect, his attention was complete. I highly recommend Steve for anyone in the Milwaukee area facing a serious construction law matter.
