Competent estate planning, but communication could improve

I hired Steve McCleskey at Glankler Brown to help my family update our estate plan after my father's passing. His background in trusts and estates was evident, and his recognition in that field gave us confidence. He was knowledgeable about Tennessee law and efficiently drafted the necessary revisions to our family trust. However, the experience was somewhat mixed. While the legal work itself was solid, we often experienced longer-than-expected wait times for responses to emails and calls. There were a few instances where we had to follow up multiple times to get clarity on next steps, which added some unnecessary stress during an already difficult time. For straightforward estate matters, Steve is certainly capable, but managing client expectations and communication proactively could be enhanced. He completed the work accurately, but the process felt more transactional than collaborative.
