Knowledgeable but communication could be more consistent

I engaged Steven Grigas at Akerman for guidance on a complex healthcare regulatory compliance matter for my small clinic. His deep expertise was immediately apparent. His background as a former interim Medicaid Director for the State of Florida gave him an insider's perspective that was invaluable when navigating state agency interactions. He clearly knows the administrative and healthcare law landscape inside and out, which aligns with his recognized accolades. The strategic advice he provided on our specific issue was sound and ultimately helped us avoid a significant penalty. However, the experience was somewhat mixed on the service front. While his analysis was thorough, there were periods where communication lagged, and responses to follow-up emails took longer than expected. At times, I felt I had to re-explain context that I believed was already established. For the premium rate, I expected a more seamless and proactive communication flow. He is undoubtedly a highly competent attorney with a formidable resume, but the client service execution felt just adequate for my needs.
