Experienced and capable, but communication could improve

Stephen Dichter handled my company's complex commercial litigation matter involving allegations of financial misrepresentation. His 50 years of experience, particularly his background in both white-collar defense and commercial fraud cases from his time at the U.S. Attorney's Office, was evident. He is clearly a recognized expert, as his 'Lawyer of the Year' awards suggest. The legal strategy was sound. However, for the premium rate, I expected more proactive communication. There were periods where we waited days for updates, and explanations of procedural steps sometimes felt rushed. He secured an acceptable settlement, but the process felt more transactional than collaborative. He is undoubtedly competent, but managing client expectations is an area for improvement.
