I hired Mr. Busey and his firm for a complex business dispute that had significant financial implications. There is no question about his legal acumen; his 56 years of experience, particularly in commercial litigation and insolvency matters, were evident. He clearly understood the nuances of the case, and his recognition as Lawyer of the Year in bankruptcy-related fields speaks to his standing in the Jacksonville legal community. However, for a three-star rating, the client experience had some gaps. While the legal strategy was sound, communication was sometimes delayed, and responses to non-urgent inquiries could take several days. The billing was as expected for a chairman of a firm, but the overall process felt less collaborative than I had hoped. He is undoubtedly a capable and knowledgeable attorney who achieved an acceptable result, but managing client expectations and accessibility could be better.
