Competent IP guidance, but communication could improve

I engaged Stephan Schneller to assist with registering a trademark for my small tech startup in Indianapolis. His background in Intellectual Property Law was evident; he clearly knows the intricacies of the USPTO process and his recognition in this field is well-deserved. The strategy he outlined for protecting our software's unique name was sound and practical. However, my experience was a mixed bag. While the legal work itself was competent, there were noticeable delays in email responses, sometimes taking several business days for a reply. This created some anxiety during time-sensitive phases of the application. Additionally, the billing structure and timeline for the overall process weren't as clearly communicated upfront as I would have liked, leading to a few unexpected administrative hurdles. For straightforward IP matters, Stephan provides solid expertise, but managing client expectations and accessibility could be enhanced.
