Competent construction attorney, but communication was inconsistent

We hired Stanley Bachman to handle a dispute with a subcontractor over significant project delays and defective work on a commercial build-out in Overland Park. His knowledge of construction law was evident, and his 19 years of experience, including his recognition in that field, provided solid footing for our case. The legal strategy he developed was sound and ultimately led to a reasonable settlement. However, the process felt less collaborative than expected. There were periods where responses to emails took several days, and updates weren't always proactive, which added to our stress. While we appreciated his expertise from the University of Kansas and his firm's reputation, the client service aspect felt just adequate. He is a capable attorney who achieved the primary goal, but the communication flow could be improved.
