Competent and experienced, but communication could improve

Sondra Douglas handled my post-divorce child custody modification. Her 23 years of experience in family law were evident, and her recognition by Best Lawyers in this area gave me confidence. The legal strategy was sound. However, the process felt somewhat impersonal. Responses to emails were sometimes delayed by several days, which added to my stress during an already difficult time. While the outcome was satisfactory, I expected more proactive updates given her mediation background. She is clearly a knowledgeable attorney at Stein Sperling, but managing client expectations and communication could be more consistent.
